At 7pm next week, four local rappers (all of whom release their music independently and without charge) will be performing at the Vera Project – you guessed it – for free! The night will certainly be filled with a plethora of fresh Seattle sounds:

ERG Music – Facebook, Twitter, Soundcloud, Bandcamp
An Eclectic Respect of the Genre (ERG) first appeared on the Rainy Dawg Radar last year with a kick-ass show in September. Next Wednesday will be his first performance in the the Town since then. His lyrics stem from his own perspective as he observes the world around him. His progressive beats and undulated rhythm go hand-in-hand. This turned-down Tacoma flow seems to slip sweetly into Seattle’s diverse culture.

“Okay, go ahead say what you will. But you’ve never heard a voice like mine” - Out of the Catacombs, Track 2
If there’s one line that describes Wofltone, this would be it! His unique strength breaks through despite the enormously complex tracks that tend to swell beneath him. Dark and thought provoking, Wolftone manages to reflect on a series of introspective themes while still creating a dance-worthy musical environment.

Stefán - Facebook, Twitter, Soundcloud, Instagram, Tumblr
Another Tacoma native will be taking the stage that night! Stefán, who moved to the Emerald City last year, tears beats apart! His differential forms of self-representation have diversified his repertoire. It’s hard to imagine a beat that he cannot make his own. Sometimes dark. Other times, light hearted. Stefán’s clever contrasts explore the inner workings of his own universe.

Cat Storm Cartel - Facebook, Soundcloud
Rainy Dawg’s own, Ryan Hulsey will be performing for the first time EVER with guitarist, Michael Padilla, and the extravagantly inventive rapper, Veye! A series of quick-witted verses fly over a series of sample-heavy, chill-wave pitter-patter soundtracks. The Cartel manages to be shy, yet stimulating; and, with a bunch of co-performers surrounding them, their first show will no doubt be something to look forward to!

Stop by The VERA Project next Wednesday to see all of these artists show their stuff! Plus, with a $0 cover charge, there’s no reason not to go!

Check out the event on Facebook!
